Innovation Research Lab Exhibition (IRLE) 2017 at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (Open)

Students from all disciplines, institutes and industries are invited to participate in the annual exhibition of Innovation Research Lab and present their ideas on how to improve human life. All of the finalists will be invited to present their projects, portfolios and various participation possibilities on interactive stands and receive a certificate. The students will additionally have a chance to win financial awards and fellowships. Find out more.

“Be an inventor opportunity” 2017 (Open)

Innovation Think Tank labs globally award about 150 “Young Innovator Fellowship“ positions to researchers and students, a unique chance to work with Siemens inventors and key experts on technology and strategy projects in our innovation labs. Based on the degree of implementation of projects and individual performance, incentives of a total sum of 50.000 Euros like in the last years will be distributed to the teams. 20 positions are open for summer 2017.

Innovation Management & Leadership Certification Programme 2017 at Siemens Healthcare Pvt. Lt., Goa (Open)

The Innovation Think Tank department of Siemens Healthcare is organizing an Innovation Management Certification Workshop, aiming to develop innovative solutions for real world problems in the healthcare sector. Students from the disciplines of: Engineering (B-Tech/ M-Tech/ MMST), Management (BBA or MBA), Medical (MMBS/ MD, Radiology, Nursing) can apply. Selected students will be invited for a five day certification course on Innovation Management organized at Siemens Healthcare in Goa.

Innovation Management Certification Workshop 2016 at Siemens Healthcare, Goa (Completed)

Innovation Think Tank Department of Siemens Healthcare organized an Innovation Management Certification Workshop, aiming to develop innovative solutions for real world problems in the healthcare sector. Selected students, that applied, were invited for a five day certification course on Innovation Management organized at Siemens Healthcare in Goa.

Innovation Management & Innovation Leadership Certification Programme (IMLEAP) 2016 at Bogazici University (Completed)

IMLEAP's training week took place between 14 November and 18 November 2016 at Boğaziçi University. 262 students from 25 different universities applied to the IMLEAP. Attended by 47 students selected after an evaluation, the programme was carried out by Sultan Haider, Founder and Global Director of Siemens Healthineers’ Innovation Think Tank, along with Associated Professor Burak Acar from the Electrical Electronic Engineering department of Boğaziçi University. Innovation Research Lab Exhibition (IRLE) 2016 at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (Completed)

FAU’s Innovation Research Lab (IRL) offers students at the university a creative environment where they can develop ideas and concepts. At the IRL Exhibition, which took place on Thursday, 14th July, students from all over the world took part in a competition in which they presented their projects on topics in medical technology and product design. This year 40 teams from 20 universities from all over the globe took part. Read more.

Innovation Management & Innovation Leadership Certification Programme (IMLEAP) 2015 at Bogazici University (Completed)

164 students from 19 universities applied to the Innovation Management Certification Program organized with the cooperation of Siemens Health Turkey and the Boğaziçi University Technology Transfer Office. The programme aimed to develop innovative solutions for biomedical and medical problems. 40 students who were selected as a result of the evaluation among the applicants identified the biomedical and medical problems during the hospital visits they performed. Young Student Innovator Fellowship for Germany, India and China (Completed)

Innovation Think Tank at Siemens Healthineers organized innovation camps with a focus on engineering and strategy. Students were invited to apply for a “Young Student Innovator Fellowship”.

“Be an inventor opportunity” (Completed)

Innovation Think Tank at Siemens Healthineers in Germany invited students to participate in the “Be an inventor opportunity” with a focus on new ideas/improvements on medical technologies and their supporting infrastructures. A total of 29.000 Euros was awarded and distributed among the finalists based on an evaluation of the innovation camp outcomes by a jury.

“The future of Healthcare” – Interdisciplinary project team contest (Completed)

The Chief Technology Office and Innovation Think Tank at Siemens Healthineers in Germany invited students from all disciplines to participate in a three month innovation camp titled “The Future of Healthcare”. The submitted ideas focused on the effects of technological advances and changes in society on today’s global healthcare systems. The deadline for submission has passed and 20 finalists have been invited to attend the innovation camp in Erlangen, Germany.

“Be an inventor opportunity” competition – Innovation camp (Completed)

Innovation Think Tank at Siemens Healthineers in Germany organized an international student competition “Be an inventor opportunity” with a focus on new ideas/improvements on medical technologies and their supporting infrastructures. 16 finalists were given the “Be an inventor opportunity”, a unique chance to work on real-life problems with Siemens inventors in a highly stimulating environment for a period of three months. Travelling and accommodation costs, along with a stipend, were provided by Siemens.
