A polar map of myocardial blood flow derived from dynamic CT perfusion shows reduced perfusion in the anterior and apical segments (Fig. 2a).
A 72-year-old male patient, suffering from diabetes mellitus and elevated triglyceride levels, was admitted for surgical resection of an adrenal tumor. Echocardiography was performed for preoperative cardiovascular assessment. This revealed a regional hypokinesis in the posterior wall of the left ventricle. A cardiac CT and a 15O-labelled water PET/CT were requested for further evaluation.
